Cayetano and Semmelweis University sign agreements for academic mobility and international research

In a strategic step towards internationalization, the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia signed two important agreements with the renowned Semmelweis University of Hungary. The signing ceremony took place on January 30, 2025, at Cayetano’s central campus, with the presence of authorities from both universities and representatives from the Embassy of Hungary in Peru.

The Memorandum of Understanding and the Bilateral Agreement for the Pannónia Scholarship Program will open new opportunities for student and academic staff mobility between both institutions. Additionally, these agreements will facilitate the collaboration on joint research projects in areas of common interest, such as global health, medicine, epidemiology, psychology, among other fields.

Following the signing ceremony, the delegation visited the campus including the medical simulation center and the laboratories specialized in malaria and single molecule studies. These agreements reinforce Cayetano’s commitment to internationalization and educational excellence, positioning it as a leading institution in the development of science and technology in Peru.
